KOSÉ participates in the Fukushima Sakura Project to support the affected areas.

We participate in the Fukushima Sakura Project, a publicity project aiming to boost momentum for the support of Fukushima in the Tohoku region. The major program of the project is the distribution of a new species of cherry tree named “Haruka.” Our first effort will be co-sponsorship of the “Tsurugajo Castle Projection Mapping Haruka” to be held for two days, on March 9 and 10.

KOSÉ continues to donate a portion of the sales of its major brands to support the affected areas.

In fiscal 2009, we launched the “SAVE the BLUE” Project, wherein a portion of the sales of SEKKISEI products is donated to support an activity to expand a coral forest. In addition, in fiscal 2011, we started to donate the same amount of money as we donate for coral planting to the Association for Nature Restoration and Conservation (NAREC), Japan, a certified NPO engaged in the improvement and restoration of the environment in the Tohoku region as well as support activities for children affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. In fiscal 2012, NAREC organized a program for children called “Natural Park Creation” in Ohya in Kesennuma City, Miyagi.
