Chapter 3. Provision of personal information to third parties

  1. The Company will use the personal information obtained from the Customers, etc. only within the scope of the purpose of use described in this Privacy Policy. The Company will not provide an individual’s personal information to third parties, except in the following cases.
    1. When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
    2. When especially necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of children’s sound development, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
    3. When necessary to cooperate with a national institution or a local public entity or a person entrusted thereby in carrying out the affairs stipulated by laws and regulations, and obtaining the individual’s consent may interfere with carrying out such affairs
    4. When the third party is an academic research institution, etc., and it is necessary for the third party to handle the personal data for academic research purposes (including cases where part of the purpose of handling such personal data is for academic research purposes and excluding cases where there is a risk of unjustified infringement on the rights and interests of the person)

    5. When providing personal information to a third party in a country specified by the Rules of the Personal Information Protection Commission as a foreign country recognized as being at a level equivalent to that of as Japan in protecting the rights and interests of individuals
    6. When the implementation of measures in accordance with the purpose of the provisions of Chapter 4, Section 2 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information is ensured by an appropriate and reasonable method with the person who will be receiving the personal information
    7. When the recipient is certified under an international framework regarding the handling of personal information
    8. When the individual has consented
    9. When permitted by laws and regulations
  3. The Company may entrust the handling of personal information to a third party to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use described in Section 1. In that case, the Company will conclude a “nondisclosure agreement” regarding personal information with such third party and will strictly manage and guide the handling of the entrusted personal information.
  4. If the Company provides personal information to a third party, the Company will record the matters regarding such provision in accordance with the laws and regulations. In addition, when the Company receives personal information from a third party, the Company will confirm and record the matters regarding such provision in accordance with the laws and regulations.

Chapter 4. Disclosure, correction, deletion, etc. of personal data

  1. If an individual or their agent requests disclosure of the personal data or the records on a third-party provision held by the Company, such individual shall submit the request by mail as described in the following Article 3. The Company cannot give notification regarding the personal information of the Customer, etc. if any of the following applies.
    1. When there is a risk of harming the rights or interests of the Customer, etc. or a third party
    2. When there is a risk of significantly interfering with the Company’s business operations
    3. When there is otherwise a risk of violating laws and regulations
    4. When the Company is under no other legal obligation to disclose
  2. The actual cost will be separately charged as a fee for each request for disclosure of the personal data or the records on a third-party provision by the Customer, etc. If the individual wishes to use a method other than by mail, they are requested to contact the Company. Fee (by mail): 624 yen (tax included) for each application
    Payment method (by mail): Please enclose postage stamps totaling 624 yen with the application documents.
    If the cost of responding changes, etc., the fee for the request for disclosure will also be changed.
    A copy of a government-issued identification card (driver’s license, health insurance card, passport, residence certificate (jyuminhyo), etc.) to identify the individual is required for a request for notification from the Customer, etc. In addition, the Company may not be able to give notification due to unavoidable reasons.
  3. For the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, removal, or suspension of provision to third parties of the Customer, etc.’s personal data or the disclosure of records on a third-party provision and for the notification of purpose of use, please download each application form below. Please fill in the necessary information and mail it to the inquiry desk regarding personal information provided below. (If an agent will be applying on behalf of the customer, please also mail a “Power of Attorney.”) No fees will be charged for the correction, deletion, suspension of use, removal, or suspension of provision to third parties of personal information. Chapter 5. Security Control Measures

The Company takes necessary and appropriate measures for the security control of personal information, including preventing the leakage, loss or damage of its handled personal information, and exercises necessary and appropriate supervision over its employees. In addition, the Company exercises necessary and appropriate supervision over entrusted companies so as to seek the security control of the personal information whose handling has been entrusted.

Chapter 7. Cookies and web beacons

  1.   3. The Company may use a feature called web beacons to collect information about the use of the Company’s website and to improve the Company’s services. The Company does not obtain personal information through web beacons. The Customer can refuse to allow web beacons to collect information on the Company’s website by setting their browser to disable cookies.

The Company uses Google Analytics to understand and analyze how the Customers use the Company’s website. Google Analytics uses cookies and advertising identifiers of the Company and collects information about the Customer.
