Working together with retail partner stores for mutual success
KOSÉ has paid great care to its relationships with its retail partners since its early days. It signs “KOSÉ Ring Store” contracts with each and every one of its cosmetics specialty store clients, working closely with them to ensure mutual success by providing customers with courteous service and counseling. KOSÉ has cultivated its own unique brand marketing strategy in order to answer the diverse needs of its customers, developing and providing a range of cosmetics suited for a variety of sales channels.
To achieve this, KOSÉ has worked closely with its retail partners to build up each sales channel. KOSÉ’s corporate philosophy is based on putting customers first and working together with our retail partners to achieve success.
Well-rounded education program for the staff of our retail partners
KOSÉ sponsors various training programs and seminars to improve the professional knowledge and beauty skills of the sales staff of our retail partners. These include programs and seminars, of varying content and level, made available on an ongoing basis to help retail sales staff acquire the latest skills and information: introductory education for new staff; expert seminars regarding makeup and facials; research groups to attract new customers; regularly held promotional seminars; and advanced course seminars. |

Emphasis on partnerships
KOSÉ does business with companies in a variety of fields, including suppliers of raw materials for cosmetics, suppliers of containers and packaging, distributors, construction companies, and others, and believes that creating positive partnerships with these companies is important not only from the perspective of good business, but from the perspective of supplying superior cosmetics to customers.
KOSÉ also pro-actively collaborates with its business partners in the research and development of new materials for cosmetics, and in devising new containers that are convenient for customers and friendly to the environment.
Collaborating and cooperating in environmental preservation activities
Environmental preservation activities are an important aspect of corporate management, and the KOSÉ Group emphasizes cooperation with business partners to conduct these activities from the same vantage. Particularly with regards to raw and other material suppliers, KOSÉ initiated a policy in March 2002 of prioritizing procurement from suppliers that engage in activities to protect the environment, and has since won their full cooperation.

KOSÉ outlined its thinking in its ECO BOOK KOSÉ Green Procurement Standards Guideline. KOSÉ conducts surveys of its supplier companies, and encourages them to clear these standards. |
