KOSÉ began scientifically-based quality control in 1976 and maintains these activities at all of its production centers. All of its employees, even part-time workers, participate in quality improvement circles, made up of small groups of volunteers generating ideas to improve quality.Not surprisingly, all of KOSÉ’s domestic and overseas production sites, including those of affiliates, have received ISO9001 certification. |

In recent years, KOSÉ has also been able to develop cosmetics making use of new technological advances. Our customers apply our cosmetics directly to their skin, so KOSÉ believes its most important duty is to provide products of superior quality that they can feel comfortable using under any circumstance. To that end, the KOSÉ Group has set its own stringent standards to ensure consistent levels of quality, starting with the selection of ingredients for its cosmetics.
To make sure its products reflect the latest developments regarding product safety, KOSÉ is actively involved in a wide range of research activities that include participation in the ISO cosmetics technical committee and working with the research arm of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s National Institute of Public Health to develop alternative testing methods for assessing product safety.

The KOSÉ Group believes its relationship with customers begins the moment they take home our products. To ensure the quality of its merchandise, KOSÉ maintains strict control over all inventory manufactured and verifies the state of each batch periodically.
KOSÉ also maintains a Customer Service Office that answers questions from customers about the use of its cosmetics and addresses other concerns and comments about skin care, beauty, or the quality of face-to-face consultations. KOSÉ sometimes receives harsh opinions or criticism from customers but takes each and every comment seriously, using it as feedback to improve product development and day-to-day operations. On its website, KOSÉ lists corporate data as well as information on a wide range of beauty-related topics, including up-to-date information about cosmetics, tips for their use, and the composition of its products.
Helping the visually impaired

Group company KOSÉ COSMEPORT CORP has begun an active program of adding Braille to the caps and outer packaging of products to aid the visually impaired.The labels include simple descriptions such as “mousse,” “face wash,” or “makeup remover,” and are used on 35 different product lines and 60 products, including SOFTYMO, SALON STYLE, and MOISTURE MILD. KOSÉ COSMEPORT plans to extend such labeling to its other products, and has also added Braille to advertising stickers to help the visually impaired easily find its SOFTYMO AIRY WHIP in stores. |
